Aloha, my name is Jason Nichols, and I am an undergraduate research assistant with CERENE and an intern within the Office of Civic & Community Engagement. I am currently a junior at the University of Hawaii at Manoa studying economics. From a young age, I’ve always had a passion for community and the people, land, and culture that surround it. For this reason, I hope to enter the public sector and utilize my background in economics to research pressing issues locally, inform policymakers, and lead Hawaii towards a healthier, more sustainable future.
