Keahi Akina (Resilience Corps Leader)

Keahi Akina

Aloha, my name is Keahi Akina, and I am a CERENE Resilience Corps Leader (RCL). I live within O’ahu’s Neighborhood Board #4, Kaimuki. I am interested in Hawaiian culture, and I have deeply set roots in the ‘āina (I’m named after a tree!). I am inspired by the spirit of providing service, and I let that motivation guide me. I am especially passionate about hearing the stories of our Kūpuna in our neighborhood communities. As part of my work with the Resilience Corps Leaders (RCLs), I will be traveling to different senior centers across the island to be of service in whatever way is needed, to offer my piano music, and to share the stories (nā mo’olelo) and knowledge (naʻauao) of community resiliency. One fun fact about me that you may not know is I am a studying and aspiring sommelier!

Note: Sommelier – a wine steward.
