Aloha, my name is Tristan David. I am a CERENE Resilience Corps Leader. I live within O’ahu’s Neighborhood Board #5, Diamond Head (Lēʻahi)/Kapahulu. I’m interested in both botany and psychology and hope to pursue a double major in these subjects at UH Mānoa, with a focus on how plants and diet affect a person’s brain. I’m especially passionate about farm-to-table cooking and incorporating medicinal plants into meals for myself and my family. As part of my work with the Resilience Corps Leaders (RCLs), I will be cataloging specific foods and their uses while advocating for conservation of foraging plants and the use of famine foods as reserves in urban landscapes. One fun fact you may not know about me is that I practice circus arts, such as juggling, stilt walking, hula hooping, or all of those at once!
