Chris “Kamalu” Fujimoto (Assistant Program Coordinator)

Chris “Kamalu'' Fujimoto

Aloha mai kākou! My name is Chris “Kamalu” Fujimoto and I live within O’ahu’s Neighborhood Board #8, McCully/Mōʻiliʻili. I have a love for nature, ʻāina-based education, and sustainable practices, and I am especially passionate about food security and supporting local producers and growers. As the Assistant Program Coordinator for Center for Resilient Neighborhoods (CERENE), I will be helping to oversee the Resilience Corps Leadership (RCL) program, create capacity-building resources, promote sustainability on the Kapi’olani Community College (KCC) campus, and aid in facilitating island-wide Community Resilience HUB workshops. One fun fact about me that you may not know is that I actually am a chef and went to culinary school here at Kapi’olani Community College (KCC), but I currently work with Sumida Watercress Farm as their chef consultant and R&D manager.
