Cuong Tran (Action 15 Graduate Research Assistant)

Cuong Tran

Aloha! My name is Cuong Tran, and I am an Action 15 leader. I am a current graduate student in the Urban and Regional Planning program at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, and a proud Action 15 team member. I am originally from Lahaina, Maui, but I presently reside within O’ahu’s Neighborhood Board #10, Makiki-Tantalus. I am highly interested in helping the City and County of Honolulu develop Community Resilience Hubs to increase climate resilience and, eventually, the State of Hawai’i. After I graduate in May 2022, I am pursuing opportunities in community disaster planning to help Hawai’i adapt to climate change. In my free time, I love to go hiking, fishing, and traveling the world, eating delicious food!
