Giavonna “Kaua” Kalaiwa’a (Undergraduate Research Assistant)

Aloha, my name is Giavonna “Kaua” Kalaiwaa. I am an IT researcher and CERENE Action 15 team member at the Kapi’olani Community College (KCC) in the Department of “X.” I live within O’ahu’s Neighborhood Board #32, Waimanalo. For my undergraduate research work with Action 15, I helped develop a conference website for COS23. I am very interested in learning how culture of any kind affects people’s perspectives on technology and how they interpret it. I am especially passionate about learning about Hawaiian culture and using technology to help educate others about my culture and to inspire others to learn more about themselves and their surroundings. One fun fact about me that you may not know is that I have an identical twin who loves everything about bio-cultural restoration, mainly here in Hawai’i.
