Micah Tutuvanu (Resilience Corps Leader)

Hi, my name is Micah Tutuvanu (he/him). I live within Oʻahu’s Neighborhood Board #18, Aliamanu-Salt Lake, soon to be #25, Mililani-Waipi’o. I am currently pursuing an AS in Natural Science with an emphasis in Neuroscience on the pre-medicine track at Kapi’olani Community College. I am interested in studying the neurological processes of the human brain and learning about other people. I am especially passionate about sleeping, eating Sloppy Joes (it must be Sloppy Joes and nothing else), and living a happy, loving life. As part of my work with the Resilience Corps Leadership (RCL) Team, I will be looking into health disparities at Kapi’olani Community College and in lower-income communities state-wide. I want to research the different aspects of health disparities and how we, the people, can address them in our own communities. I will be serving as the Student Congress liaison. One fun fact you may not know about me is that I love dinosaurs because they’re awesome.
